If you have a real Christmas tree, you can dispose of it correctly by using a number of options:
Your local HWRC will help you dispose of your tree correctly!
Use either of our two sites:
Blackburn, George Street West, BB2 1PQ (closed Wednesdays)
Darwen, Spring Vale Road, BB3 2EP (closed Tuesdays)
The sites are open six days a week except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
at the following times:
8am – 5pm – Oct 1 – Mar 31
8am – 7pm – Apr 1 – Sept 30
Let East Lancashire Hospice recycle your Christmas tree and help raise funds for the hospice, with a £8 donation. Trees will be chipped and repurposed into mulch.
Collection will be the weekend of the 11th and 12th of January 2025.
