St James’ CofE Primary School, Lower Darwen welcomed the Environmental Education team for a lively recycling session full of activities and discoveries!
Pupils explored different types of materials and learned how to sort rubbish into the correct bins. Through hands on activities, interactive games and engaging conversations, they discovered how recycling helps protect the local environment and community.

As part of the session, students were encouraged them to think about how changes in the environment can sometimes create challenges for living things, and how small actions can make a big difference.
The session sparked brilliant questions and plenty of eco-friendly enthusiasm! Each child took home a special pack, celebrating them as a recycling superhero ready to share their new knowledge at home.
