In Year 4 , we were lucky to have a visit from Sally Booth, of Blackburn with Darwen Council, to talk about Recycling Heroes.
We learnt about why it is important to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle our waste and how the local authority can help with this. We then played The Recycling Game to help us to understand which items of waste can be recycled and which need to go in the general waste. Finally, we were all given activity packs to bring home.
Sally also helped us find outlets for recyclables that we are collecting such as bottle tops, these will now be dropped off at another local school who are using them for an art project
